Guatemala City

Guatemala City is located in a very central area of Guatemala. In here you will find the International Airport La Aurora. If you come to visit Guatemala, we recommend you stay at least one night in this beautiful city to visit the streets, monuments and places of interest. Here you will find many churches, museums and a handcrafts market where you can buy souvenirs.

Guatemala City has a wide variety of restaurants, hotels, plazas, shopping centers and other varieties of shops, as well as having approximately 300 galleries and museums; 13 Universities of which one is Public. It is divided into 25 zones from which zone 20, 22 and 23 are omitted because they belong to other municipalities.​

Guatemala City is very near from Antigua Guatamala and from Amatitlán, home of the Thermal Waters. You can find anything you want in this city.
Guatemala has a square structure that expands in all directions which is a very important feature of the neoclassical urban style. Zone 10 known as the "ZONA VIVA" has been a place dedicated to nightlife since the 80's, this area has become a place of family recreation, with the opening of Oakland Mall and Fontabella, as well as the Opening of haute cuisine restaurants. We recommend taking a tour of Guatemala City to know every beautiful monument and place that awaits you in this beautiful city.

Despite its location in the tropical region, Guatemala City enjoys a subtropical upland climate, due to its elevation above sea level.

How to get to Guatemala City?

In Guatemala is located the International Airport La Aurora. You can take a flight from your country or stopover depending on the availability of flights. When leaving the airport you will find taxis but we recommend that you book a shuttle with attendance. Contact us to book your transportation.

Metropolitan Cathedral

It is the main church of Guatemala, is located to one side of the Plaza de la Constitución in the Historic Center. If you visit Guatemala City, definitely this is a place you should visit. In spanish is called "El Cerrito del Carmen". It is located in the historic center of Guatemala City. It is a Catholic hermitage whose construction dates back to the 17th century. It is dedicated to the Virgin of the Carmen, was declared Cultural Patrimony of the Nation. If you want to visit this place we recommend you take a full tour.

Museum of the University of San Carlos

Also known as MUSAC is an academic museum that reveals the educational and cultural contribution that the University provides to the development of a better Guatemala. The museum is housed in the former building of the Faculty of Law, that has neoclassical architecture.
